Third Annual David Ford Winnipeg Photo Shootout

FREAK Fitness, along with Muscles by Meyers, SJ’s Dragonfly Hair & Make–up Services, and Assiniboine Athletic Club, presents the Third Annual David Ford Winnipeg Photo Shootout – March 19 – 26, 2013 ( MABBA Novice weekend) at Assiniboine Athletic Club and various locations within Fort Garry Place.

Open to all aspiring male or female fitness models or physique competitors who want to be photographed by one of the world’s top fitness photographers.  Each model will receive: one 90 minute time slot; on–site complimentary hair and make–up; fashion consultation services; and a gift bag.  More details to be announced closer to the date of event.

Girls – David Ford and STATUS Fitness Magazine will be looking for Female Status Symbols, so David can guarantee at least one of you (and likely more) will be published. Erin Boily, one of last year’s participants is not only this year’s event poster model, she has become a Status Symbol and has an unprecedented five–page editorial spread in STATUS Fitness!

Erin Boily’s National Success

In her first year of competing and fitness modeling, FREAK Fitness Team member Erin Boily has become a national success! After shooting with one of World’s best fitness photographer, David Ford, Erin’s photos were featured as part of a five–page editorial spread in the Fall 2012 Issue of STATUS Fitness Magazine.

Shelly goes international.

Two–time National Fitness Champion and Team FREAK member, Shelly Paton, made her first international trip to represent Canada at the IFBB World Championships, in Bialystok, Poland. Even among the top amateurs in the world, Shelly showed them all why she is one of Canada’s best and held her own in both the physique and routine rounds. Shelly finished the weekend in 6th place and has made her country and her FREAK family so very proud!

Another FREAK Fitness Win!

On Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Winspear Theater in Edmonton, AB, Team FREAK member and Grand Prairie resident, Darryl Boivincompeted in the 2012 ABBA Provincial Bodybuilding Championships. Darryl’s ultra–shredded condition helped him win the very competitive Men’s Welterweight Class, and this win brings the seven–year running total of Team FREAK’s Top–3 placings to 231!

IFBB Toronto Pro Supershow

On the same weekend of the MABBA Provincials, FREAK Fitness athletes also ventured out to Canada’s largest fitness expo in the country, competing in IFBB Pro shows and the Oxygen Fitness Model Search.

MABBA Bikini competitor Brittany Kanne rocked the Oxygen model search stage and left the crowd wanting more evidenced by the numerous photo shoot requests she received following the show.

IFBB Pro Bikini competitor Sandy Avelar competed in her second pro show and placed a respectable 16th place.

IFBB Women’s Physique Pro Janessa Roy made her pro debut in Toronto and placed 4th!

Congratulations to the entire FREAK family for making the weekend of June 1–3, 2012 the most successful weekend in FREAK Fitness history!
